{Green Thumbs...Sort Of}

This month over at the Living On Love blog, Lacy is asking us to get our thumbs green! She says that the birds are calling us and that we need to get out in the garden! One of my 25 before 25 projects is to start a garden. I'll be honest, I don't know if this will happen now. Monday is now my only day off and my work days consist of 9am-10pm. No I'm not joking. So, sadly, my garden plans will be on hold, probably until next year. Boo. BUT, I did find a way to cheat the system. I don't know if Lacy will appreciate this as much as she would have my gardening project, but it'll have to do for now. :) What you do is head to Crate and Barrel and pick up these cute little guys...
(or you could make one, see this post it'll help you get a start on making one at home!)
A cute little chalkboard planter...
 That comes complete, with a bag of Basil! It's called a "Garden in a Bag."

I just follow the directions and let the basil grow on my countertop!
Covering it with a plastic bag was part of the directions. I'm a cheater I know, but I stumbled across these and thought they were so fun and a cute countertop decor. This is me getting my thumbs green in May! Can't wait for my basil to be here! :)

See me really get my thumbs green with this DIY Project.
