{The Bold and the Beautiful}

So I'm hoping that by this fall we will have saved enough money to paint our home. It needs it, desperately. There is paint chipping off everywhere. You can't tell from a distance, but upon further inspection it's totally noticeable. We are totally lucky in the fact that my dad is a painter by trade, so all we'll have to pay for is the cost of paint. He'll expect our help, which is totally fine. You know me, I'm a hands on gal. I like to be involved in everything. I'm excited for us to take on another project as newlyweds, along with the help of my dad.
With paint being expensive and all, it's a pretty permanent decision. With me being super indecisive and changing my mind a bajillion times a day, I wanted to started looking at color choices now. That way when the time comes I'll have had plenty of time to change my mind and go back and forth on what I really want.
These are my favorite color schemes so far. I've always, always wanted a big white house with a wrap around porch. With that being said I'm uber partial to having and all white house with a sweet aqua door. Then I could do everything neutral or do pops of green or yellow. I could even use coral accents. Oh yeah(I think I'm already sold)!

The orange on neutral just looks so good too!

I would never have the guts to do this and I'm sure Kor wouldn't go for it, but I love this. Love it!

I'm never a fan of red, but the boldness is so classy.

I guess what I'm learning from these pics is that I definitely what the house to be a neutral color. A subtle gray, beige or white. Aren't these yellow and green doors so Spring-y?

I say that but then color schemes like these draw me in too. I admire the bold colors. It's more unique this way. It's drastic and bold without being tacky or over the top. I'd totally do something like this if our home owners association would allow it.

What's your favorite color scheme? Would you be bold? We have a tough decision to make!

  2. I LOVE a bold statement door. The front door on my house is red and that's one of the reasons I fell in love with it!
