DO Something.

Yesterday was World Humanitarian Day. This day marks the celebration of people helping people all around the world. This year's theme was "I Was Here," the message was to do something good, somewhere for someone else.

I have loved the song I Was Here by Beyonce since I bought her latest album. It has a powerful and moving message, it describes how I want to live my life. It's no wonder that they chose this song to be the theme.
Although I missed World Humanitarian Day, I wanted to continue on the message. Helping others should be a regular occurrence in our lives, not just one day of celebrations. Beyonce sings words like, "The hearts I have touched, will be the proof that I leave" and "That I gave my all, did my best
Brought someone to happiness
Left this world a little better just because
I was here"
That's how we should think day in and day out.
Whether I'm on Pinterest or Facebook I always see those quotes like "Everyone is fighting their own battle," or something similar to this and the truth is, everyone really is fighting their own battles. They could be small battles, financial battles, family issues...the list is endless really. We should be there for one another, a helping hand, a listening ear, an open heart. It's the small things in life that mean the most.
So my challenge to you is to think about these things and to continue on this message, not just today, but day in and day out. Take time to think about how you're going to do good in this world. Take time to leave your mark on this planet. Take time to do something good for someone.
By something good I mean the small things. Maybe you see a mom struggling to carry everything at the  super market-help her to her car. Maybe you have a friend that you know is struggling to make ends meet, but is too proud to ask for help-leave an anonymous card with a little help inside. Volunteer somewhere that needs an extra hand. Teach. Teach someone the things you know, share your knowledge. Make a care package for someone you know, maybe you have a friend who's moved away-comfort her with a care package so she knows you care. Send someone a nice email or text to cheer them up. Random acts of kindness are the best.

Take action, go DO something good today and every day!
