NYE Eyes!

Ok is it just me or does it feel like this year just totally flew by?! Christmas was here and then it was gone, just like that. I feel like I've hardly had my Christmas decor up for any time at all! This has without a doubt been the quickest year of my life so far. That's what working all the time will do to ya!
Anywho, today we're talking eye makeup. We have a fancy schmancy NYE party coming up and I've been all giddy thinking about what I'll wear and how I'll do my hair and makeup. Makeup is definitely the most exciting part for me. Plus I got those really awesome MAC pigment shadows that were on my Christmas wish list, so I can't wait to try them out. I can't decide if I want to do a smokey eye, a glittery eye(maybe a combo of both?) or just a really detailed, lined eye. I gathered up some of my favorite celebrity eye makeup styles to give you an idea of what I'm thinking about. Maybe you can tell me your favorite look?

I'm always a fan of Lauren Conrad's lined lids. No one does the simple cat eye like she does. I doubt I'll go this low key for NYE, but I couldn't leave it out.

The traditional smokey eye is a go-to look for a night out like NYE. I love what Scar has going on.

Blue. Would you do it? I'm iffy about it but I've watched a couple of tutorials on how to do a beautiful glittery blue lid and I'm slightly tempted! I definitely think I'd do a deeper hue of blue than Alicia...

Hayden's natural bronze look is one of my favorites. I feel like I do the bronzed look too often to use it for NYE, it's just gorgeous with her luscious lashes though. Maybe I could make it more dramatic by adding some faux lashes? Does anyone do faux lashes? I never have, they intimidate me a little, I need to learn how to apply them really well!

Ok, now THIS is a smokey eye. Does Beyonce do any wrong?? I love how bold and thick the shadow/liner is all around her eye. It's darker based smokey eye than Scarlett's, which makes it much more dramatic. She does the black and brown vs. Scarlett who has a silvery touch, which brings it down a notch. I just love this dark seductive look that Beyonce's rockin'.

You can also make your shadow match whatever you may be wearing, like Katy does here. A little silver pop to go with her dress. What do you think about the silver?

And of course, the bad girl version of the cat eye. A much bolder take on the cat eye. My favorite part is the touch of purple in there. Purple is the best shadow color for green eyes(that's me!). Simple, but bold lids with the most amazing lip color. There may be a winner...

Tell me what you think! Are you digging the really bold, statement eyes or the simplicity of the cat eye?
