{DIY Ladder Shelf}

My momma gave me this ladder on Easter, after I saw it at her house and convinced her that I needed it. She loves me. It's an old, beat up ladder, but that's why I love it. I've been wanting a bookshelf for decor for quite some time now. I just haven't found one in our price range. We did see some great ones while we were at Ikea, but we bought so much that we didn't have any room for them! Free, courtesy of the rents is much better anyway. :) Besides all this one needed was a little TLC and some personal touches. I love how it turned out. The pop of color is just what I wanted. All it took was a coat of primer and a coat of spray paint. I used the color sun yellow. You want to be sure you take your time and do light coats, that way you don't cause any paint runs. So, patience. Then you just add a few of your favorite books, pictures and decor items! What do you think? Do you love the pop of color too? It would be great in a bold turquoise or olive green! Be sure to share, tweet or pin this project if you like it!
