{Baby Schartz: Week 28}

How far along?: 28 weeks SEVEN MONTHS!!
Total weight gain?: 9lbs.
Size of baby?: Baby Schartz is the size of an Eggplant!
Maternity clothes?: No, still squeezing into everything.

Stretch marks?: Nooooo! Please stay away!!
Sleep?: Sleep is totally hit or miss, as you can tell, if you follow the blog. Some nights I sleep great, others I don't sleep at all! It's crazy to me that I wake up at 2am, 3am, 5am and 7am and EVERY SINGLE TIME the baby is moving like crazy! He's active when I fall asleep(around 10) and active when I wake up(7ish), plus all through the night. Pregnant mamas, are your babies crazy active too? What about my friends who have had babies, were they pretty squirmy? Of course I can't help but wonder if there's any correlation between their sleep pattern in the womb and when they get here...
Best moment this week: HICCUPS! I felt hiccups this week! The baby's that is :) Now that I know what they feel like, I'm pretty sure I've felt them before, but now I know for sure. He actually gets them about twice a day. Today I stopped what I was doing at work to sit down and enjoy the rhythm of them. They don't last very long, so I soak them all up.
Miss Anything?: Breath. It's hard to breathe these days, I can't walk to the car without sounding like I just ran a half marathon.
Movement?: ^^^ CONSTANT movement. I love it. He's my little buddy.
Food cravings: Still nothing, womp womp.
Anything making you queasy or sick?: Acid reflux. It just makes me feel so, blahhh.
Gender: B for BOY!
Labor signs: No.
Symptoms: Shortness of breath, leg cramps, hip pain, back pain, headaches, nausea...shall I go on?
Belly button in or out?: In :)
Wedding rings on or off?: On :)
Happy or moody most of the time?: Happy of course. This is such an exciting time. Plus, Fall is just around the corner. I would get to have this baby during my favorite time of the year! Also, right during deer season. Mwuhahahahaha! ;)
Looking forward to: Our maternity shoot! Heyyyy! I am REALLY pumped for this. I'm so glad I decided to sign us up. I'm sure we won't regret it! I can't wait to share the photos!!!

I think that's it for this week. Next week is our breastfeeding class, so I'll be able to tell you about that. Tego is getting excited, I can tell. She really enjoys hanging out in the nursery with me. Kory appreciates my big ol belly, which really makes me feel good. The man rubs me every night and checks to make sure I'm ok if I wake up in the middle of the night. He's the best. We're starting to get all of our goodies set up. The monitor is ready to go, the 4moms swing, the exersaucer, now we're ready to do the stroller and I think we'll head to the fire department in a few days to have the car seat put in! Two and a half months people!! :)

  1. I remember Christian was always REALLY active at night. When I talked to my doctor about it she told me that most babies sleep during the day or whenever the mom is active because walking around rocks the baby to sleep. So when mommies are at rest babies are awake and ready to play! :)

  2. You look so stinking cute! I'm in the same boat as you; my little guy is very active at night, but luckily he will allow me to sleep through the night MOST of the time. It seems that when I'm active that is when he is really active!

    Nice Lil Saturday Blog

  3. Jaxon was really active at night also, I believe its cause during the day the movement puts them to sleep. Also when u lay down it seems to give them a little more room to stretch and kick. In a way its a good thing they wake you up, or ur waking up due to peeing every hour. It prepares you for when there here and keeping you up all the time. Maternity shoots are awesome, I loved ours:) breastfeeding class was very informative and we also took labor and delivery and baby basics. All three awesome classes.

We LOVE getting comments, go ahead and leave one!
