{Baby Schartz: Week 30}

How far along?: 30 weeks
Total weight gain?: 11lbs.
Size of baby?: Baby Schartz is the size of a cucumber! One of my faves!
Maternity clothes?: No, still squeezing into everything.
Stretch marks?: Nooooo! Please stay away!!
Sleep?: For the first time I'm starting to have trouble sleeping because of the baby and not just because of pregnancy symptoms. Usually it's acid reflux, leg cramps and other miserable symptoms keeping me up. Now, it's him. His positions make me feel uncomfortable, as well as his movements. When I turn to sleep on my side I feel like I'm squishing him and he's kicking me to move!!
Best moment this week: Visiting the hospital and sort of making everything official. We had a ton of paperwork to fill out and a lot of decisions to make. Epidural, no epidural? Circumcision, no circumcision? Vaccines, no vaccines? You get the point. We also had another two week appointment, where my doctor told me I was having the perfect pregnancy and that I was doing everything just right. Knock on wood! :)
Miss Anything?: I miss not tiring easily. I don't like to slow down or feel like I'm slacking, but being pregnant definitely slows me down and makes me very tired.
Movement?: All day. All night. The movement is by far one of my favorite things about being pregnant. Hands down. **I'm going to keep this one, because even though I complained about him keeping me up, I still love feeling him move.
Food cravings: Still nothing, womp womp.
Anything making you queasy or sick?: I get sick every day from about 9:45-11:45. It's just a thing, there's nothing specific making me sick.
Gender: Baby boy!
Labor signs: No.
Symptoms: EXHAUSTION. I'm starting to wobble. I'm hungrier too, uh oh!
Belly button in or out?: In...barely...
Wedding rings on or off?: On :)
Happy or moody most of the time?: Definitely happy. We are slowly, but surely knocking things off of our to-do list. I'm working a ton, but it's kept me so healthy, so I can't complain.
Looking forward to: Finishing the nursery. We're soooo close! I just have a few more personal touches that I want to add. Then we'll be good to go.

QUESTION: Speaking of the nursery...For those who cloth diaper, can you recommend a pail or a storage bin for the dirty diapers?? Or give me your best advice?
Also, here's a little peek of our Maternity photos. Jana is amazing, we keep going back to her because she's just so talented!

  1. I liked to keep my cloth diapers in good shape by giving them a thorough rinse immediately. After that they were clean enough to not be a bother no matter where they ended up. Which for me was usually on the laundry room floor :)

    1. Perfect! That's exactly what I was wondering! I figured if we rinsed them well enough we wouldn't have to worry too much about the smell. Thanks Rikki! :)
