{Recipe: Peanut Butter Blossoms}

Peanut butter blossoms are my #1 cookie. They remind me of the holidays. My aunt always makes these for me and that's how I put on my "winter weight." :) I made homemade chicken and noodles for the hubby last night, so I figured we needed something sweet to add to an already delicious meal! Here's the recipe for all of my wonderful readers!

What you need:
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 brown sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 package chocolate stars or hershey's kisses, I prefer chocolate stars and I got the hyvee brand!

 Preheat oven to 375
In a mix, cream peanut butter and shortening until fluffy.
Gradually add sugar and brown sugar while on medium speed.
Add egg, milk and vanilla.
Beat well.
Add flour, baking soda and salt.
Be sure to mix well.

Roll into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar.
Then place them on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, remove from oven and immediately place chocolate star in the center of each cookie. If you use kisses, be sure to unwrap them before!

Careful, they are too good to put down!
