When I think about last NYE and what this NYE will be like, I am in awe. What a difference there will be. Last year on NYE we were playing beer pong and taking shots of Rumchata with our friends. I was drinking because I wasn't pregnant, and at that point I had given up on getting pregnant. After several months of unsuccessful attempts I had decided that it was time to stop thinking about it so much.
We wouldn't ring in the new year pregnant, but it turns out we would get pregnant the following month. Almost a year later to the day from when we started trying.
It seemed like we would never get pregnant, but looking back, the timing could not have been more perfect. Not for any particular reason, it just felt "right."
Being pregnant for most of 2013 made it one of the best years ever. Growing a little human inside of you is so magical and beautiful. Kory and I spent the year prepping the nursery, relaxing, hanging out with our friends and going on small dates here and there.
Dressing my bump and documenting my pregnancy as I went along was so enjoyable for me.
All of that was incredible, but nothing tops the arrival of our baby boy and the weeks we've spent loving him. He is the reason I most look forward to 2014. I look forward to watching him grow, seeing his milestones and soaking up all of his snuggles. I hope to continue breastfeeding clear into 2014. I look forward to more of those beautiful smiles he gives me. Those dimples.
2014 will be full of new adventures for my little family and I can't wait to share them with y'all.
I hope you guys continue to follow along in the new year. We enjoy our readers so much and I'm so thankful for you guys! So thank you and CHEERS to 2014!
