Yesterday, May Day, marked 6 months for our Henry Harper. Six months. Words can't describe what these last 6 months have been like for me, for our family. Our lives have changed in ways that I never imagined. My husband and I fully agree that we, without a doubt, cannot picture our life together without Henry. Life without him must have been so mundane. Henry brings so much joy to our hearts. We count our blessings and thank The Lord every single night for what He has brought us.
I won't bore you with all of my sappiness, it's just hard not to share the love I have in my heart.
Six months is a milestone and it is definitely noticeable. We have a blabbering, ornery, practically-mobile, little man on our hands. I've noticed several changes in Henry in just the last week.
For starters, diaper changes went from difficult (new-baby beginners), to piece of cake, to oh-my-goodness-will-you-stop-rolling-around-and-sticking-your-butt-in-the-air-while-I'm-trying-to-change-you, kid!? You have to be quick, I tell you!!
As you can see by my montage of Henry, he is almost on the move! We will have a crawler amongst us in no time, I'm sure of it. He's getting up on all fours and rocking, plus he rolls like crazy and he's already pulling up on things. Ai yai yai!!
We upgraded this crazy man to the big boy tub this week, no more baby tub. Guys, we thought he loved bath time before, but ohmygoodness. I practically needed goggles for his last bath since he was splashing so hard. He smacks the water and we even caught him scooting towards his toys. Nuts!
H is such a flirt. He smiles and talks to all the ladies. He gets bashful from time to time and I can't tell if he's doing it on purpose or if he's actually a little shy. He'll turn his head and try to hide behind things with the cutest smirk on his face.
He definitely recognizes people and has obvious favorites. He reaches for people too, well he reaches for me anyway. ;) And he laughs ALL of the time.
Henry is an extremely happy boy. He's rarely upset, only if he's hungry or tired. Both of which he tells you by sucking on his two fingers.
Now that he's 6 months we're also considering enrolling him in some swim lessons. We'll see what we can find.
I'm maybe the most excited that I've been, for these next few months. I feel like there is going to be some major adventuring coming up!! He is my whole world and I plan to keep him a momma's boy until the end of time.
Also, what is up with the second picture in the top row? Hey creeper!! Hahaha.
