{DIY Nights at Tulip}

Last week, Tulip put on their very first DIY night and I was lucky enough to be their first hostess! *Hostess with the mostest* Tulip will be hosting these DIY nights, put on by local bloggers and business owners, from time to time. Awesome idea, right?
My DIY lesson was in Floral Crowns.
I have been obsessed with floral crowns for the longest time.  A few years ago, I posted a quick tutorial for a really basic floral crown. My style and boldness has developed over the years though, and I was really excited to start making floral crowns that packed a little more punch. I had been working on the best way to create them, so that they would be durable and able to stand the test of time. When Tulip asked me to share my ways, I was stoked and couldn't wait to get together with the girls to give them a lesson. Girl friends, crafts and wine...does it get much better than that?? Oh! and cupcakes!
Once I gave my quick tutorial, the girls were free to start designing...ANDOHMYGOSH, these ladies created THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CROWNS! It was so neat to see everyone's crowns come together. They were unique to each lady and really spoke about their personalites. I loved it.
Afterwards, we finished our wine and we shopped a little. I bought the cutest striped tank-bralette and the world's most comfortable tee ever. I'll have to find it and share the link with you. I wish I would have picked up two, that's how much I love it.
From picking out flowers, to putting together the goody bags, I loved helping plan this event. It was such a fun ladies night, especially for this mama. ;) I'm really looking forward to their next DIY night, and being a student this time!
The $5 reservation fee went to Blair's Foster Socks, a local charity, so there was a good cause behind all of this too! Check out the photos and get yourself pumped for Tulip's next DIY night!
xx,
Melissa Loren

  1. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL to my face being in all of these photos. You are so cute and I had a blast. Even if my mom was in shock when I told her what I was doing and she made fun of me because I told her I would never do it when I was a kid.
