Weekends around here are looking incredibly different than they have over the last few months. I feel like we're starting to come alive as a family. We get out off the house, we {occasionally} dine out and we socialize. I mean, who are we!? This weekend was so perfect and I didn't want it to end. Before having Henry I worked nearly every weekend since graduated high school, so I've never really known what it's like to long for the weekend. Boy do I know what it's like now. We LOVE having daddy around, so the weekends are just very special these days.
This weekend started off very special indeed. We kicked off by celebrating Kory's birthday. We went out for Thai and once H was down we had a cocktail on the front porch.
Saturday morning we indulged in some delicious donuts and after Henry's nap we tried out a new restaurant in town, Taco Republic. It started as a food truck and recently they opened a cool indoor-outdoor restaurant. It literally feels like you're hanging out on vacation. They have picnic tables, sand, two bars, corn hole and it's designed incredibly. The tacos were yummy, but the atmosphere is definitely the coolest.
In the evening we had a house full...of babies. We had a 7 month old, a 3 month old and an almost 2 month old, all boys! Henry was so curious and intrigued by the other little babies. He was ready to play, he didn't realize that they weren't quite old enough to "play." It was so sweet to have all of them together though.
Sunday was just for relaxing. We did go get Henry a new convertible car seat, I'll be glad to share any details on that if anyone is interested!
I really enjoy these beautiful weekends with my boys. I'm looking forward to a summer full of fun!
What did you guys do this weekend?

  2. Sounds like a great weekend! I celebrated my sisters birthday and had dinner at Free State in Lawrence last night :)

  3. Sounds like a great weekend. I love spring and summer just for the busy fun filled weekends full of good company and good food. I am dying to check out that taco place now.

We LOVE getting comments, go ahead and leave one!
