Weekend before last, I helped celebrate my dear friend's upcoming nuptials, by glamping with her for her bachelorette party. I'm just now getting around to sharing this post because I think it took me a full week to recover from all of the fun. This old momma can't handle that kind of fun anymore! Hahaha. We toured four wineries, had dinner in town and then returned to the countryside of Paola to "Glamp" for the night. Glamping, for those of you who are new to the term, is glamourous camping. Meaning we had large tents set up for us with enough room to fit three or four large blow up mattresses that were dressed with darling linens. Otherwise is it just your regular ol' camping trip. If you're looking for restrooms, showers, electricity (aka cell reception and battery life), then you're out of luck. :) It's just you, your girlfriends, a fire and whatever you choose to drink on!
Full disclosure: I didn't make it through the night like I planned. I had a slight yearning to be home with my son, so I sat around the campfire for a while, but then I called it a night and headed home to my peanut.
The idea was perfect though and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to change things up. The girls in charge also ordered us tanks and wigs, which the people of Paola thought was the coolest thing ever. Seriously, people kept asking to taking our picture because our group looked so "fun."
Here's a few pics from the festivities...
