{Henry's 3rd Birthday Party}

Whew! What a weekend! After all the planning and anticipation, Henry's party is over, but boy was it fun and worth it! At first I planned to kind of skip all the details, but I had asked for this beautiful cake to be made and I just couldn't have this gorgeous cake and nothing to go with it. So I rallied all of my energy and creative juices and got to work. I was still determined not to spend and arm and a leg so I promised myself I'd be creative and thrifty. Lucky for me, my mother's how is gorgeous and very woodland-y on it's own! I bought gift bags, a birthday banner and the cake/cupcakes, other than that we had everything or I made it. Most of the items came from Henry's room(he already has a woodland type of theme) or around my house. My friend Chyleina brought the plastic forest animals from her house, my mom had the wolf and I had the cupcake stools and other odd items. I was able to make the cupcake toppers, food labels and the cheeseball, bear scat(no bake cookies) and campfire smolder(puppy chow). My friend Jackie, of Jackie's Cakes and Desserts made another beautiful cake for us this year, if you remember, she made an adorable Paw Patrol Cake for us last year. She just keeps getting better and better and she's so fun & easy to work with! I without a doubt recommend her to anyone and everyone! Sean picked up the cupcakes from Cupcake A La Mode on the plaza, simply because they're tradition. ;) So good and so pretty! Salted Caramel forever. Maddie was also kind enough to whip up invitations for the big event. She has been so busy with projects and her Fete Box company, that I am thankful she took care of us again this year. <3 For some last minute prep and a small budget, I'm extremely happy with how everything turned out. I didn't get any shots of the food, probably because it didn't go with our theme at all lol. My mom made her famous chicken tacos, guacamole and rice. The food was too die for, and if anything I think people were happy to come for the food haha. ;) Speaking of people, we had a packed house, so many loved ones came by to see and celebrate our Henry. I'm always amazed at the turnout and how many special people we have in our lives.
I honestly don't know where we will find the room for all of this stuff lol. He's good through Christmas! I cannot thank our friends and family enough. Henry is so loved and it always fills my heart to know that! A special shoutout to my friend Chyleina for all her help and for listening to me panic and stress lol. I love you and you always seem to be my right hand at these things, and I appreciate it. My mom and Sean deserve all the kudos as well. It wouldn't have come together without their help. They always help fulfill my visions and support Henry and I day in and day out. They also run all over town for me and still love me anyway. ;)
Thank you again to our friends and family for making this day so special for Hen! It was so special to have everyone together! I wish I had taken more pics of our guests and H opening presents, especially the new big boy bike Sean and I got him, but we were having so much fun and partied all night!
