{Strawberry Pickin'}

Until Monday, I had never picked strawberries before. Come Spring time I would always see friends taking their littles to pick strawberries and I thought it was such a fun idea. We never had a garden growing up and we certainly never did half the activities that my kiddos get to experience. My childhood was incredible, we just didn't have a lot of traditions and my parents definitely didn't have a lot of free time outside of work. I think that's one major reason why I love creating traditions and taking my children on adventures. It's not like I went without, but I hope these activities are something that my children will grow to love and cherish someday. Sometimes I like to drag my mom along on these adventures so she can experience them for the first time too, and the extra hands never hurt. ;) The four of us, Gigi, me and the kiddos drove to Lawrence to share our first strawberry picking experience. A few things, 1. fresh picked strawberries are the most delicious thing ever. EVER. They are so juicy and sweet, they're like heaven. 2. It's really hard to wear a backpack, have a baby wrapped around you and bend over to pick strawberries haha. Luckily Henry was very into it, so him and Gigi picked us plenty of good ones!! Of course we picked one of the warmest days to go, so I'm glad we packed plenty of water and snacks. We recommend the place we visited, we're first timers, but we enjoyed it very much. Wohletz Farm is right at the edge of Lawrence. We'll definitely be going back next year!
Henry picked me lots of strawberries and one little flower. <3
