{An Intentional July}

Ok guys, not that you're super concerned, but you're here so I'm going to go ahead and tell you my two goals for July (and these last few days of June). One, I want to eat dinner at home every night, with the exception of the 4th a July and a night or two that we have plans! It seems easy enough, but y'all it's just not for me. Do I get some grace since I have a toddler and an infant?? I know I stay at home, but most days I smell like old milk and I don't know my right from my left. Plus daycare pickup and laying down to nurse sis for naps had me sending Sean to a drive-thru almost every night. Which is a.) expensive and b.) packing on the very unwanted pounds. Which leads me to goal number two. I want to be more intentional with my cooking. I want good, wholesome, well-rounded meals. Nothing fried, nothing overly fatty or carbacious (I just made that word up because I lurve the carbs). Just *real,* and yummy food. I want to be smart about what I cook each day so that there's significantly less waste, if any. I want to keep the meals healthy so my boys are strong and in good health, and since sis will only nurse I want to make sure she's getting the very best. I will TRY to share meals as I go, or maybe a weekly roundup. I'm home that this will help me shed some of this baby weight and just bring back the healthy lifestyle that we were so into before getting pregnant. I know I can lose  weight fast and meal prep all the bland chicken and broccoli day after day, but I'm just not in that mindset. I want the food to be healthy, but I want it to have life and I want to be fair to my family. They don't want 4 day old prepped chicken and broccoli for the next however many weeks. So, I will be disciplined and intentional when I plan our meals. Starting with baked chicken breast topped with a summery bruschetta mix and garlic riced cauliflower. You can see my bruschetta mix on my Instagram story - @Kourtney_shotz  The meals I cook will always be sans salt and with fresh ingredients! Alright guys, this is all of July. Hopefully I can pull it off! 🙏🏽
