Hey friends! I know it's been a while. Like I said last time, there has just been so much going on. For one, I sold my jeep. My beloved Jeep Wrangler that I bought when I was expecting Henry. I want to say that it was hard to let go of, but it wasn't, not at all. To relieve myself of the payment and the burden that came along with the payment is a game changer. My payment was high because I owed on my Silverado that I traded in for it and because, well, Jeeps are expensive. I've wanted to sell my jeep and say good riddance to the payment for years, but never thought I'd get the value out of it. Staying at home and not helping to provide an income on my end pushed me to do it! I don't regret it one bit. We bought a smaller, more economical car for Sean to drive to work and I'll drive the kids around in our truck. It makes sense this way because Sean works a ways away and the new car fills up for 20 bones, and the kids and I will be safer in the big, hefty truck. I'll miss the ability to take my tops off of the jeep, but in all honesty I think I did that maybe twice the entire time I owned it. The new car has a sunroof anyway. 😉 The ten days or so that I was without a car while we shopped was the worst part. I definitely never want to be without a car again, but it was certainly worth it. I've never been a fancy car person, so this really wasn't even a sacrifice for me. It was a smart decision to put us in the right direction towards our financial freedom and ability to buy a house!!! I'm stoked and ready to keep making progress and smarter decisions.
I've still be taking tons of photos and we celebrated my mom's birthday. Henry and Luce finally got to get out of the house and enjoy the splash park. Now that we have two vehicles again, we're ready to get this summer started!
This was from my mom's birthday. Sis visited our favorite Kansas City BBQ joint for the first time. I have the very same photo of Henry when he was this age. <3
